Project

Sunflower table topper

Project Description

What are you most proud of? They are so cute on the porch! They are very washable. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Use something round as a template. I was going to use the glass from the tables but used a chair pad I had instead of taking the table apart. It was slightly smaller and I could use fat quarters for fronts and backs.

What you will need

  • Cotton fabric
  • no batting

Q&A with Newquilter

SandiePink asked:
But are you making blocks for the class quilt? :-)
Newquilter answered:
No, I don't make big quilts. I like to learn the new technics though. I actually used a different technic for the center so it came out more round.
JudyT PNW asked:
Love your sunflower. The colors are gorgeous.
Newquilter answered:
Thank you. I've made some more of these and they are even better.

Thanks so much Dresdens are my new addiction! Much easier than they look! The only challenge is selecting colors. vintagesewist.blogspot.com

What a creative use - beautiful colors. E.
Newquilter answered:
I'm actually looking outside at our 42" glass patio table and think, "why can't I make a topper for that, too? I could put 4-6 of the dresdens around the edge. Would look like place mats! Hmmm...
