Summer Blocks Baby Quilt

What are you most proud of? I love the freehand embroidery I did for the back of the quilt, which says the baby's name. I love the scrappy binding though- that's always a favorite around here! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Take a photo of your blocks when they're all laid out. It can help you to better see what colors and blocks may need switched around.

You Can Make This

Amy Alan made Summer Blocks Baby Quilt with:

  • I used Kona cottons and the Arcadia by Sanae fabric line.

Q&A with Amy Alan

Surfside6 asked:
This is awesome (I hate using that word - it's so youth oriented or whatever), but it truly is awesome The fabrics are gorgeous and the work is super. Love it,,,, Love it. And, good advice about taking a picture. Sometimes you hit that perfect mix and darn if you can find again if you mix it up. Congrats on a job well done
Amy Alan answered:
Thank you so much, Surfside6! Yes, taking a picture from afar does help a lot. I'm not quite sure what it is about seeing a small photo that helps so much more than looking at it on a wall or on your floor, but it just does! Thanks again! :)
