Suburbia Melrose and Vine - Quilt #6

Anyone else LOVE the geometric shapes here? I decided this had to be my first attempt at free motion quilting. Using a dot-to-dot method for the sun-burst effect, I drew lines with a water soluble marke, quilting, then washed away the marks. While I used my walking foot on the sample pieces, that's too much turning in a small sewing machine for this large of a quilt. So, I threw the f.m.q. foot on and just tried my best.

Q&A with Ciara

Jenna_A asked:
Do you know if the pattern is available separately? I couldn't find the name of that and the kit is sold out. Your quilting is really pretty - love how the project turned out!
Ciara answered:
I just did a search and can't find the pattern being sold separately. But, good news, there are 4 kits with the same pattern still available (just with different fabric). Search for "Suburbia" and you should be able to see those kits. I love the one with the Sugar fabric but I think that's just because it's so sweet (pun intended). Thanks for checking out my project. I appreciate the compliment. :-)
