Stupendously Stitched IPad Case

Project Description

What was your inspiration? Ever since taking the Stupendous Stitching class here on Craftsy, I truly love the technique and have incorporated it in many of my projects and gifts, so I must attribute my inspiration to Carol Waugh and her willingness to share with us. I implemented this technique on four different projects that are shown in the photos and am pleased with the end result. I must admit I like to see the wider zig-zag stitching around the perimeter of the project, as opposed to a more narrow stitch that may disappear ~ and love to experiment along the way. This technique is so forgiving and artsy-fartsy (in nothing but the best possible way) that there's room for many interpretations.

What you will need

  • cotton fabric
  • fusible fleece
  • trims for couching

Q&A with Debbie11

Carol Ann Waugh asked:
These are all so beautiful and I love that you created your own pattern. Now, all your friends and family need to buy an iPAD just to get a cover made by you!
Debbie11 answered:
I was anticipating a couple of birthday gifts, since I was given a "hint" as to Christmas gifts that were planned.
