Strip Quilt-Baby

What are you most proud of? This quilt was a first in many ways. I had never done a strip quilt before and I did this with my own imagination and measuring - no pattern. I also used the backing as a self binding for the first time. It worked out well and looks nice I think. What advice would you give someone starting this project? You just can't make a mistake on this type of quilt/blanket. Use your scraps, or do as I did and go shopping for cool material that the receiver will enjoy. I say just go for it! I just sewed an outline on the flowers because I wanted the ends to fray up a bit to give it some texture. You can applique them around the edges if you wish - same with the centers. I gave them some definition by stiching a different center on each one. Do whatever floats your boat - just have fun!
