Stormy Seas

What are you most proud of? This was my very first pattern I had ever tried to create. I was new to quilting (2001) and really my measurements were a struggle with the half square triangles; not sure I had ever made any at that time. I tried a trial square and felt it was okay, so I created 11 more to go with it. It took me 9 years to complete, as there were times I really didn't like it that much. I persevered and now it is ready to give as the gift I had intended. Actually very proud of the quilt. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Any quilt that you want to create, just take chances and enjoy building it.

Love this project. I copied the 4 by 4 half square triangles to make my own for a baby quilt. Thankyou for your inspiration.

your welcome
Jennifer Thomas asked:
Love the way the fabrics go with the quilt. I made a quilt with some ships very similar to these, too. Fun!
cari2rcky answered:
Fabrics were bought first, then I created a pattern.
