Stitch n' Slash Flowers (Currently unnam

Project Description

What are you most proud of? The back, actually. The front is cool n' all, but I really enjoyed doing the mosaic effect on the back--and being able to use the cut out flower from the front as an entire flower shape on the back in the center was just a hoot. I just had a great time doing the backing. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Just kick back, relax, and have fun. (But do keep track of what your seam ripper is doing!)

What you will need

  • Four fabric fat quarters
  • decorative cording for couching
  • monofilament thread
  • poly thread
  • cotton thread
  • fusible interfacing
  • seam ripper

This is sensational! Which class inspired you to make this?
sandyquiltz answered:
Stitch n' Slash with Carol Ann Waugh. Great class! Fun technique--will definitely be using it again (as well as the technique for the back, which she also includes in the class).
