Stitch Bible

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I have learned so much about my machine already. I am no longer afraid to tamper with the Tension dials, have learned so much about altering the stitch length and width - the resulting stitches are nothing like the diagrams on the screen or in the Manual ,and there are so many beautiful stitches that I would previously not have considered. I have learned to applique using metallic thread, quilted the inside covers, embroidered my name using the inbuilt programme ,and learned to use the overlocker (Bernina 1150MDA) which the dealer gave me when I purchased the sewing machine. Altogether a really exciting start to Carol Ann's course. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Go for it! Take your time, and work taking regular breaks. - but most of all enjoy yourself.!

What you will need

  • Plain cotton fabrics
  • Madeira Threads - 30's Rayon and metallic FS 2/2 No20

Q&A with Isobel

4bird2 asked:
I skipped this step, now I want a hard copy like yours. My stitches are displayed right on my machine and I thought i didn't need or want a stitch bible. After seeing yours, now I do. I guess that's next.
Isobel answered:
Thank you for your kind remarks.
