Stacked Geese Quilt Finale

Project Description

What are you most proud of? That I can make a beautiful quilt for my husband and our Chi Chi's to enjoy. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Accurate 1/4 scant seam. Plan, plan, plan.

What you will need

  • Ordered the kit from Craftsy on January 24
  • 2013 and received it on Feb 2
  • 2014. Great delivery to Canada! The kit is not exactly as shown in the class. The colorways are similar but are easy to break down into the (4) colors. I used Aurifil thread and standard rulers for piecing. The machine quilting
  • I used King Tut threads. I enlarged this quilt and purchased batiks locally. I changed the layout by adding two white bands of flying geese. The bands of geese were made using a technique by Deb Tucker. This quilt uses so many of the classes. Jacquie Gering
  • Creative Quilting with your Walking Foot. Craftsy class with Anne Pertersen Quilting Big Projects on A Small Machine. I used Anne Petersen'd technique and split the quilt top. I did a creative pieced quilt backing and it was a technique I used for the class with Elizabeth Hartman - Creative Quilt Backs. I have learned all my quilting skills online with Craftsy.
