During construction, I added one layer of thin batting behind the sheep bodies and quilted them before layering the main batting and backing. This way the sheep bodies are raised and appear a bit more fluffy. The legs, faces, and ear are made out of the jeans patching material (the iron on type) and then stitched with the same stitch as the rest of the sheep. The tails were done with decorative stitches. Since the recipient of this mini quilt raises sheep, I used a pastoral scene fabric on the back. Amanda's pattern instructions are easy to follow and this is quite the fun small project.
