SpinFlower Strips with Nighty Night Owl

Project Description

What was your source for this quilting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo SpinFlower Strips Link to website or photo www.craftsy.com/pattern/quilting/Home-Decor/SpinFlower-Strip/20360 What are you most proud of? Instead of using fabrics from one line of fabric, I used two different lines and combined them. I think it came out great, and won't be like every other quilt made with this panel. I'm also really happy with the way I used the leftover pieces to extend the width of the backing fabric - I will definitely be doing that more often! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't get stuck thinking you have to have all your fabrics from your project from the same line of fabric. Look around, you might be surprised at what you can find that will make your quilt an original creation!

What you will need

  • Nighty Night Owl Panel

Q&A with Pamela Boatright

desna asked:
This is so cute and I love the way its has 'wonky' blocks. I too have started to do a pieced back it makes it more fun to do and can be used either side. Love this little quilt:)
Pamela Boatright answered:
The blocks aren't really wonky - it's totally the fabric print that gives that effect, but that's one of my favorite things about this quilt.
