Project

Spider Web BOM

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I'd say how wacky and colorful it is. Also having fun perfecting an alternative way to construct these. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Great project for tiny little scraps. Also would be cool to do with selvages. For more good info I highly recommend Gwen Marston's book Liberated String Quilts.

What you will need

  • I dug into a couple baskets of old scraps that dated well into the last century! (;

Q&A with Cat Sultan

DebJG asked:
Which month was the spider web block?
Cat Sultan answered:
It was March.
Tamyrela asked:
Oh I love this. I wont the pattern to this one. How much is it?
Cat Sultan answered:
Thanks Tamyrela, I actually did it "wrong". I am still perfecting the method I used so it's not anything very exact at this point. Have you watched the March BOM yet? More later perhaps...I feel lousy today. );
Candace in Fl asked:
Love the pumpkin and the peas Iin there. Very cute block. A friend of mine did her own method too. She started out with squares instead of triangles to avoid the biases: http://scrandasmusings.blogspot.com/2012/09/craftsy-bom-march-blocks.html It's fun not only to see the different colors and arrangements, but also the different methods people use.
Cat Sultan answered:
Thanks Candace. I often throw in Halloween prints to quilts that I make. I will check out your friend's blog.
