Some Lucky Dog

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I think the different patterns of free-motion quilting ended up looking pretty good on this little number. What advice would you give someone starting this project? I've been practicing different patterns of free-motion quilting on these little pet quilts. It is a great way to practice. The pets aren't going to complain if it isn't perfect and their owners may not be quite as particular, either as they might be for a table topper or something.

What you will need

  • cotton fabrics
  • batting

Q&A with AllThatPatchwor

JuzJacs asked:
VERY cute. DO you do your own stippling? I haven't tried this yet. I'm intimidated!
AllThatPatchwor answered:
Yes, I was intimidated about it, too, and when I tried quilting a big quilt (60 x 80 inches) on my short-bed home machine, I had a world of trouble. But these little quilts are so much easier to manipulate. And there is definitely that psychological advantage of knowing the pets won't care if you make a mistake!
