So what do you think?

What are you most proud of? Creating a layout I like. What advice would you give someone starting this project? I've found it helpful to use my computer to assist with moving the blocks around - the blank grid in the Class Materials has been a great tool. Ask for feedback from the Craftsy community :D

Q&A with NanaJeanFL

Polarjo asked:
Love your fabric choices. Really ties these diverse blocks together. At first I thought I preferred layout 3, but have since changed my mind to agree with you that 2 is the better choice. The "negative space" on the outside of the economy block gives your eyes a place to rest. Either way, I definitely prefer the larger version of the economy block. Fits in better with the scale of the other larger blocks in the quilt. This is going to be a wonderful quilt.
NanaJeanFL answered:
Thanks so much Polarjo! Just the kind of feedback I'm looking for :D
perci2 asked:
you have a knack for combining colors in a beautiful way!
NanaJeanFL answered:
Thank you perci2! What a nice thing to say :D
Pam NZ asked:
Oh Jean, what fun you're having! My pick is Layout 2... looks a good balance of the background fabric to me, and shows the economy block off beautifully. On point also seems to give economy more life to it. As for the braids... well I just flaming well adore them! What a scrummy quilt! Just love love LOVE it LOTS!
NanaJeanFL answered:
Thank you so much Pam! I tend to like that block on point as well. I think it really adds to the all over geo design. I'm still thinking!
mpac5000 asked:
Jean, I agree with the others and really like option 2. Your fabrics are great.
NanaJeanFL answered:
Thank mpac! I love your blocks - you've got a wonderful quilt coming along. I look forward to seeing the finished quilt!
gmhnQuilts asked:
I like layout 3.... I'm the odd one out.. haha
NanaJeanFL answered:
Odd? I think not. You've made me realize I haven't actually auditioned real fabrics in the #3 block. Right now its just a computer enlargement. Will take another look with real scale. Thanks!
