Singing Birds Wallhanging

Project Description

What was your source for this quilting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Singing Birds Wallhanging Link to website or photo What are you most proud of? I love using bright, pretty colors. I love the little bird who "steps to a different beat" and has decorated her nest to suit her tastes. She represents me. I might not be the best, but my contribution adds a little "life" into what I'm involved with. I can't do much without being creative with it. That's the whole fun in doing anything, in my mind. SO....whether you think that bird is the one who sings although she is not the best, or whether she is the best and everyone else is doing their best to contribute what they can, will depend on which bird you are! It might be a debatable subject! I love the little nest with the shreds of bright fabric. I think it adds a little fun to the piece. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Have fun with it! You can easily change the color scheme to fit your tastes. If you don't do hand applique, do machine or fusible applique (but remember to reverse the images accordingly). If you don't do simple embroidery, use a running stitch or draw the words on with a paint pen. If you don't quilt, just sew around the figures. This little wall hanging is a quick and easy project.
