Project

Simple table runner

What are you most proud of? This is my FIRST quilting project ever. I'm pleased that all but two of the points match. And I was able to mitre the corners on the binding, using Wendy's method. It was also the first time I used my walking foot - while applying the binding. What advice would you give someone starting this project? This is a great first project because the size is small, and the only quilting was done by stitching in the ditch. My next quilt will be bigger, and I'll branch out with more complex machine stitching now that I've gotten my feet wet.

You Can Make This

blueheron61 made Simple table runner with:

  • One charm pack - ("Curio
  • " made by basicgrey for Moda)
  • and a bit of complementary fabric I hand on hand for the binding.

I love your table runner, what a great idea, I'm inspired.
blueheron61 answered:
Thanks! It's been almost a year since I started quilting. This is my first and only COMPLETED project. I've done lots of piecing since then, taking classes here on Craftsy. Just have the actual quilting to do now, and I'll have a few more Christmas gifts!
