Sharon's Welcoming Committee

What you will need

  • I'm making this quilt for my neighbor
  • Sharon who has three dogs to greet me at the door when I visit. I used all kinds of scraps on these blocks but most of all I discovered because of Wendy's instructions that my machine can do small zig zag with the quilting foot. I used some non fraying fleese for the eyes and did some creative stitching to make these blocks fun to make. I used some other methods in the Art Quilting 101. I'm lovin it. I did eight of the blocks and this helped me finish it. Quilt as you go method. I will post the doggys I used the method to put on the eyes. and the finished quilt front and back. I'm going to try some of the other projects she is suggesting. The patterns I used The paper piecing pattern called "Dog daze and feline friendly"
  • can be found as a free bonus pattern on the Fons and Porter site. I used the musical note paper piece pattern from my pattern library on Craftsy. I'm mixing it up with some crazy patch blocks in between and on the back.
