Shabby Chic Tinker Tote

What are you most proud of? I'm proud of Tara's great class! I've played it over and over again while quilting the bags...for some reason I can't stop whistling... What advice would you give someone starting this project? When you tape the pattern pieces together, trim them first so that you don't cover up the word "fold"! Do what the teacher says and you'll be fine. ;)

Q&A with Maxie Makes

Pilercat asked:
I, too, am going for a shabby chic look. Any thoughts on the binding yet?
Maxie Makes answered:
I posted a picture of the finished bag, so you can see the binding there. I used a pink rosebud print. (I made two: a shabby chic one and another that I made for my daughter to use as a diaper bag).
