Seven Sisters Challenge

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I wanted to make the challenge not just about the fabric but a personal challenge too. I wanted to do something I had never done before. Finishing a project that I had to make all of the calculations for, based on a photo, was new for me. I had also never attempted "Y" seams because I was intimidated. I am most proud that I stepped out of my comfort zone to try something new. What advice would you give someone starting this project? This isn't a quick project. Be prepared to take your time. I pre-marked all of my start/stop points before I started. The only problem was a used a frixion pen, which erases when you iron it, so the first time I ironed my seams the marks went away. Oopps. I do recommend marking the start stop points, it really makes getting those nice points.

erbohnet asked:
What is the finished size of this quilt? I love it! I am making something similar to this as table topper. Your finished size will help me with mine. Thank you.
atoz1mom answered:
I'm not sure the best way to measure the quilt but here is what I got. Each side is 14 inches. The widest point across measures 28 inches and the narrowest point across measures 21 inches. Each diamond and trapezoid was cut from a 2 1/2 inch strip. Hope that helps.
