Self Portrait

What are you most proud of? That the self portrait is actually recognizable. That was a pleasant surprise. What advice would you give someone starting this project? I do not know how to draw but have really wanted to begin turning some photos into quilts. Lola provides some good instruction for converting a photo into a line drawing, which really worked well for me. She also offers some simple, straight forward methods for coloring and shading with pencils.
