Secret Garden & Gentle Curves Quilting

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I am most proud of quilting it myself at home. Jacquie Gering's class on Craftsy, Creative Quilting with the walking foot, gave me the confidence to do it. What advice would you give someone starting this project? This is easy and fast and the fabrics are lovely. I could not find this on Craftsy anymore, but Amy Gibson has it on her website. www.stitcherydickorydock.com

What you will need

  • Amy Gibson's
  • Secret Garden quilt-along on Craftsy. Instructions asked for two 10" layer cakes of Amy Butler "Belle" fabric. However
  • I used one layer cake of Belle and some Fortiny I had left over from another project. I think they compliment each other. Kona snow 5" squares. White & blue patterned vintage sheet as the backing. Blue variegated thread.

Lovely! The gentle curves were a great choice for this soft, flowery quilt. Congratulations! Finishing it yourself feels so great. Nice rounded corners too!

Thank you.

Love what you have done with the quilt. The curvy lines soften the angles of the pieces and gives the quilt a gentle touch. Thanks for showing your work.

I love the curved corners too. And great colors in the collection. It shows that brights and browns can be combined very successfully.
Homeheart answered:
Thank you
