Sea Glass

What are you most proud of? How well the colors work together. What advice would you give someone starting this project? I should have left a little more space between the leaf placement. I did reduce the pattern by 50 percent.

AMEENTS asked:
How difficult is this quilt?? I love the colors.
SuziMaggard answered:
The pattern, Sea Glass by Talk of the Town, is easy to follow. The one I made is one-half size. Just make sure to leave enough space between the leaves for quilting when you fuse them in place. Good luck :)
jjandarh asked:
I see the you said you fused the leaves down. What do you use for fusing? Did you use a machine blanket stitch and then hand quilted around each leaf? It's gorgeous and I love your colours. What size is each leaf? I have a green jelly roll and I am wondering if I could use it.
SuziMaggard answered:
Hello! Yes, I fused the leaves using Pellon light fusible that I purchased by the yard at JoAnns. I machine blanket stitched the leaves, then used the hand quilting machine stitch to quilt around each leaf. I reduced the pattern by 50% so the leaf is about 4.5 inches long and 1.5 inches wide. A jelly roll might work! Thank you for your nice comments. :-) If you make one I hope you post it. I would love to see it green.
