Scrappy Strips

What are you most proud of? Making 2 quite distinctive and interesting quilts from something I was disappointed with. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Never be afraid to take risks with the design of a quilt, even if it means cutting into it.

You Can Make This

Weeroona made Scrappy Strips with:

Machine Quilting Beautiful Borders

Online Class

Machine Quilting Beautiful Borders

with Eva Larkin Hawkins

  • I cut scraps into strips and joined them like a jelly roll
  • ending up with a very long rectangle. I then cut this in half
  • but still wasn't happy

Q&A with Weeroona

desna asked:
Oh I love these two quilts and your quilting in the yellow fabric is super... now I want this class too!!!!
Weeroona answered:
Thank you Desna. I have so much fun now that I've started doing free motion quilting. It can make such a difference to a quilt in such a short time.
Eva Larkin Hawkins asked:
I love the diamond design quilting in the yellow. It fits the quilt perfectly!! Well done!!
Weeroona answered:
Thank you Eva. I really enjoyed your on line course and can't wait to apply some more of your designs to my quilts.
