What are you most proud of? I put this together very quickly, up to the point of beginning the free motion quilting. My sister was coming to visit -- she's a professional artist but has never quilted -- so I used this small quilt as a tutorial to show her how to do the quilting. We designed it together, sort of "design as you go", and my sister really got into it! What I'm proud of is that I'm now confident enough in my quilting that I was able to do this without stressing out about it! And my niece will love this little quilt! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Several areas of the quilt are quilted very densely, which caused it to pucker a little and not want to lie flat. So before I put the binding on, I ironed it with steam, hovering over the quilt and just touching it lightly. The steam somehow removed the puckering, and now it lies quite flat.
