Wendy Butler Berns asked:
You are on a roll!!! She is most intriguing... I love the mysterious look you have created... the border really adds a lot of pop!
KDONGES answered:
Thank you so much for your comment. It means a lot coming from a great teacher like you.
Danette Kealey asked:
I absolutely love your art. Wow! I'm Speechless. Have you been quilting a long time? Did you learn a lot from the pictorial technique class? I was debating about this class but when I saw your art I thought it might be worth taking. Lastly did you study art or are you teacher or professional artist? Have a great day, you are inspiring!
KDONGES answered:
Thank you for your wonderful comments. I have been doing art quilts for a year and a half. I joined a quilt guild about two years ago and a lady was saying that she did art quilts. I had never heard of art quilts. Then another lady saw a few of my paintings and encouraged me to turn my painting style into a quilting style. Yes I taught art in public school before retiring and sold art in galleries. "Ruby" was my first art quilt. I have done 4 more since then. The class you mentioned was very good. I however use only fused applique because so many of my pieces are very small. However I have thought about working up a teaching project using Wendy Berns technique as people are always asking me to teach,
