What are you most proud of? I am probably the most proud of the fact that I actually finished this project on time, which is rare for me ;) I am also proud of the fact that I was able to use up some leftover fabric from the front of the quilt to make a really pretty pieced backing. The Pine English Garden yardage was originally intended for use as the quilt binding, but I ended up incorporating it in the backing because I switched gears and used pieces of leftover fabric to make a multi-colored binding. I think that decision made the backing AND the binding much better than it would have been the way I had originally planned. Finally, I am proud of the fact that (exclusive of thread) I was able to make this quilt from organic materials. What advice would you give someone starting this project? If I can make this quilt, YOU can make it! Don't get overwhelmed and don't feel like you have to figure out every step in the pattern before you start. The pattern is written very well and it will get you through! Read all the way through the pattern, then just start at the beginning. Take it one step at a time and you will be amazed at what you will accomplish!
