Project Description

What was your inspiration? I had started with The Girl with a Pearl Earring but make too many mistakes I didn't like so used it for practice and used this preschool picture of my granddaughter that i have always loved.

I love it. Your stitches in the background gives the quilt lots of movement. Your coloring is great and the eyes are just beautiful.

Thank you, Losls. I used a drop of white fabric paint for the eyes but wanted to make it look more like she is looking up as in the picture..

That's so cute - love it! It looks as though Prismacolor pencils may be the ones to use - I've just looked them up on the internet and, happily, they're available in the UK. I can't wait to get started on something, you're firing up my enthusiasm so much, but simply MUST finish my current UFO first!

Glad I am encouraging you. The pencils do work great but on another project I did use a Shiva Paintstik when I wanted a bright color.
