Raining Cats and Dogs Quilt

What are you most proud of? This was so much fun to work with. I added more bright fabric from my stash and was quite happy with how it turned out. My nephew, a teen saw me quilting it and admired it so much that I offered it to him. He called it his "cats and dogs" quilt. A friend misheard the name and it since has become "The Captain Dog" quilt. It makes us all smile. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Listen to that fabric that talks to you in the shop. Take it home and study it, keep it in mind until the other half of story presents itself--the idea to make something of it. That's how fabric stashes are built.
