Raindrops Keep Falling on My Purse

Project Description

What are you most proud of? It was a fun challenge taking the ugliest fabrics in my stash and pulling them together to make a luxury purse. I'll use my "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Purse" for shopping. Inside is a zippered pocket to hold my checkbook and cell phone. And, there are two bottomless pockets to hold water bottles, or I can use the pockets to separate items. The fabrics I used are all leftovers from other sewing projects. How economical is that? What advice would you give someone starting this project? Sign up for Carol's Stitch & Slash online class with Craftsy. Learn how to make your own funky fabric. In Carol's class you'will gain a whole-new persective about what you can do with fabric. I used to "sew" purses and totes. Now I'm creating one-of-a-kind art pieces. Get ready for big compliments. Total strangers will stop you and say, "where did you get that purse?" "I want one."
