Q&A with SueBrowne

Karen Louise asked:
From an Alaskan girl who gets to view the aurora often, even though this isn't completely realistic, it is lovely. Nice job!! Did you get to see the aurora for real when you visited our fair state?
SueBrowne answered:
Thank you Karen Louise! How lovely to hear from someone who lives in Alaska! I'm very envious - of where you live and seeing the Aurora often. I loved almost everywhere we went on our two visits to Alaska. We went in the Autumn the first time and mid summer the second. We were very fortunate and had a wonderful Aurora display at Denali on the evening of 9/11. I was SO excited, I've been fascinated with them since I saw a picture in an encylopaedia as a child. The sky was just full of colours, I still get shivers down my spine when I think of it. I've seen them twice since but nowhere near as exciting a display, once a couple of green arcs on my 60th birthday in Swedish Lapland, and more recently from the plane as we were flying over Greenland on our way to visit friends in Nevada. I knew I had to use that fabric after the Aurora was seen from the UK last week, but I was so cross because I missed it!! I was very pleased the way the quilt picture turned out....
