Rail Fence Scatter Cushion

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I am very pleased with my quilting and how the cushion turned out. This was the first time I put a zip in, but not as good as I had hoped ... need practise for sure! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Look up the tutorial by Moda Baker Shop: Cushion Couture which have several patterns for cushions which are lovely if you want ideas for cushions.

Q&A with desna

Tanya W. asked:
Very nice, eye-catching for sure!
desna answered:
Thank Tanya, It is to match my daughter's decor:)
Pam NZ asked:
And so you should be pleased with yourself... stunning cushion! I love how you've quilted it, and it's zipped too... look at you go girl!
desna answered:
My daughter was very chuffed with it and especially as the back had a pattern too and that is why I had to put a zip in, I usually go for the envelope opening... much handier!
patz in suffolk asked:
Very impressed! Nice colours, excellent quilting - and a zip too! Well done!
desna answered:
Thanks Pat, sewing zips need pratice and I think I will make more with the envelope opening, much easier.
