Project

Quilted Journal Cover - Mini Dresden

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I did the hand stitching with embroidery floss - a little harder to work with than perle cotton, but I had the colors I wanted to use. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Just be accurate in your cutting and sewing, press as you go. It comes out so cute! A 2 inch circle works perfectly for the center (add seam allowance to it, though!)

What you will need

  • fabric
  • thread
  • batting
  • composition notebook

Oh thank you so much! I really have tried to work on my photography skills, but the limited light here doesn't help! Your comment made my day for sure, thanks so much!

I assume the Mini Dresden is hand stitched down?
Pamela Boatright answered:
Yes, I hand stitched it down. I would really like to try one with machine button hole stitching, though - I think it would be really cute and fast!
