Quilted Cell Phone Holder 2

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I posted a similar piece some time ago and have had many requests for a pattern. So I borrowed back the other one and made this one writing down directions. I could not post the full directions as a pattern on Craftsy without a PayPal account so I will put the short version below. Am happy so many people liked the first one and hope this helps! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Here are short directions: 1. Sew strips together using a ¼ inch seam, press seams to darkest fabric 2. This top should be approximately 12 x 7 inches. 3. Quilt using light batting and coordinating fabric on back 4. Check size with phone and add or trim width and length accordingly then add binding. 5. Place right side down and fold up from the bottom using phone as guide for pocket size and sew sides to secure pouch. 6. Fold down top, mark for Velcro and machine stitch top Velcro strip and hand stitch bottom one.

What you will need

  • Seven pieces of fabric cut in strips 12" long and 1" to 2" wide * Fabric for inside
  • about 13" by 8" and soft batting of same size* Fabric for binding *Basic quilting supplies.

Q&A with Marie Withrow asked:
Marie; very cute. Thank you for the instructions; especially written. I am in rural northern British Columbia and cannot access online Craftsy classes due to the cost of the Internet. Viewing one class can up my bill from about $78 to $200. sigh. Jan
Marie Withrow answered:
Wow, that is hard! Enjoy - very easy to make and useful, too!
