Practice practice practice

What are you most proud of? I took Cindy's wonderful class a little over a year ago and I couldn't even do a free motion meander at that point. After learning the basics here, this is an example of my progress. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Really practice your free motion skills. It is such a confidence builder. Don't be afraid to not be perfect. Start by doing baby quilts or something that will be washed as the mistakes aren't as apparent after going through the washing machine.

Q&A with SewsYourMother

Cindy Needham asked:
Boy...you've come a long way!!! GREAT job! I appreciate your advice to the rest of the students on just practicing and having FUN with the process. Do the "no fear of failure" pieces and it does come to you. It's amazing how the "failure" fear stops us in our tracks and doesn't allow us to experiment and have fun.
SewsYourMother answered:
Thanks everyone. I have been determined that I will become proficient in this.
