Q&A with Arlene C

Caroline asked:
Very nice ! :)
Arlene C answered:
Thank you!!!
Karena asked:
This is lovely. I love it as a table topper, and the border is perfect.
Arlene C answered:
Thank you. The Magical Jelly Roll Quilts course has a lot of great information, which is easy to understand. Kimberly also responds to questions if you get stuck.
scrappersue asked:
looks terrific. I can not stipple but yours looks great.
Arlene C answered:
Thank you for being so nice. I can't stipple either, which is why I try to practice on smaller projects. I want to take Beyond Machine Quilting and I hope it goes on sale. I have such a hard time with free motion and figuring out what is right with the tension.
Karena asked:
This is the quilt I am going to make from the Magical Jelly Rolls class. I have made many small quilts, baby and lap size, but I have not attempted a large quilt. Kimberly makes it look achievable, and I love this block.
Arlene C answered:
Have fun with it. It is definitely achievable. The Craftsy platform is great. Should you have any questions, Kimberly will usually answer them quickly.
GmaMK asked:
You did a really nice job! Lovely colors! Good job with the free motion quilting ... I'm taking the class but my thread keeps knotting up underneath.
Arlene C answered:
Thank you. The straight stitching went fine but I had all kinds of problems with the free motion because my threads kept breaking even after fiddling with the tension and changing needles and rethreading a million times. This is why I do smaller projects until I get more experience under my belt!
