Q&A with Kaye Prince

kwiltnqueen asked:
what fabric line did u use. Love, love the colors. How did u get perfect pinwheels every time?
Kaye Prince answered:
The fabric is Verna by Kate Spain for Moda. If you go to the pattern page for this on MBS you will see all the instructions for this quilt - including how I made the pinwheels.
marge cornish asked:
could you show me a good quilt to start I have never quilted before
Kaye Prince answered:
Take a look at the Block of the Month class here on Craftsy. It is free and is run by the super-talented Amy - since it is a video class you will be able to step-by-step instructions for each block and can do it at your own pace. Other than that why don't you could try piecing together some larger squares and then move on to something more complicated.
Lucindalubelle asked:
I would like you to list all of the "ingredients" in linear yards or meters, rather than in the number of charm packs and jelly rolls -- just for those of us who would like to use our stash fabrics!
Kaye Prince answered:
The website that this pattern was designed fo - Moda Bake Shop - is specifically for patterns that use pre-cuts. That is why they are listed the way they are.
samtaylorcjsmim asked:
Is it possible to get printed pattern instructions?
Kaye Prince answered:
If you click on the link under the picture it will take you to the page with the instructions (which also includes a PDF).
craftsbyshirley asked:
This is a lovely quilt would you recommend this as a first quilt? I'm looking for a relatively easy but sensational quilt. How do I get the pattern for this quilt?
Kaye Prince answered:
I think as long as you follow the instructions, you will be fine! The pattern (with pictures) can be found by following the orange link in the "what was you source for this quilting project" section above.
