Pink Baby Quilt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? My accuracy with the stars. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't use a white background ... it's a nightmare to work with. I had to wash the quilt at the end of making as it marked even from basting and pining.

4bird2 asked:
This is a quilt that can be enjoyed by a female for a very long time. I like that the colors are female but the pattern is attractive for both sexes. With the amount of work that goes into this, I'm glad that she'll be able to use it as a teenager even, ( no little cutsie things she may grow from liking.)
zinc6 answered:
Thanks 4Bird ... not sure about how long it will last tho ... the quilt I made for her brother last year is alredy faded and old from so much use.
Pam NZ asked:
Beautiful! Yay for baby girls ;-) Lucky little baby, this is a quilt for her to enjoy her life thru. Love the way you've quilted it too!
zinc6 answered:
Thanks Pam ... I wanted to emphasis the rays of the stars ... it sort of worked but looks abit chaotic in places.

Thanks for your encoragement ... this is only my 2nd mariners star quilt and only my 5th quilt in total. I think my quiliting is improving but not perfect yet.
