Pillow for Anne's Couch

Project Description

What are you most proud of? Deciding to make a sample before I started stitching the layers together! What advice would you give someone starting this project? This closely follows the instructor's project and technique as taught in the class. If you like it, do it. If not, venture out into new designs! This is the third pillow I've made using the technique and the first that is all-cotton rather than batik fabrics. I prefer batik but this worked up very quickly. I refer to use embroidery scissors rather than the seam ripper. I'll likely make more of these pillows - they can be done very quickly and make wonderful gifts. Look for sales or use coupons to get pillow forms.

What you will need

  • Quilt shop quality 100% cotton
  • cotton and polyester thread
  • recycled sari silk yarn
  • fusible fleece
  • . 20" square pillow form

Q&A with Joanna Strohn

EleanorMary asked:
This is gorgeous do you have instructions on how to put together?
Joanna Strohn answered:
This is from the class Stupendous Stitching. I followed Carol Ann Waugh's instructions very closely. I highly recommend the class! Be sure to make a sample of the way you layer the fabrics.
