Pieceful Paisley

Project Description

What are you most proud of? This is the largest quilt top I've pieced to date. It took less than a week to put together. Very little frog stitching :D What advice would you give someone starting this project? Buy an extra fat quarter of each fabric "just in case". You can return any you don't use, add them to your stash, or use them for a pieced back. Measure the pieces before assembly. A couple of them were off. I had to contact the manufacturer for border strips cut the wrong size.

What you will need

  • Quilt kit (JoAnn's) with twelve blocks
  • matching setting kit
  • fusible web
  • cotton and invisible thread.

Q&A with NanaJeanFL

KeencraftaKaren asked:
What a wonderful quilt Jean, I love the colours and the blocks are very pretty, they look to be very intricate, a quilt to be proud of, a job well done.
NanaJeanFL answered:
Thanks so much Karen! Yes, this includes some intricacies I hadn't encountered before like the quarter inch framing in the Four Square block. I'm the kind of person who will take on something just because I like it "cold" then end up leaving it unfinished when I discover its too much for me. With all the great skills, encouragement, and inspiration I've gained through Craftsy I'm happy to say that's not a problem with quilting :D Thanks again. Jean
Natascha asked:
