Q&A with Kaye Prince

bluedishtish asked:
I notice that your diamond patterns line up perfectly. How did you get that result if you just eyeballed the placements as you were sewing? Did you precut widths and sew accordingly? This is a great pattern!
Kaye Prince answered:
Nope I didn't measure the widths at all (although most are between 1 and 2 inches to start with)! It's actually an optical illusion that is created because the strips are all in different fabrics and rotate around in a square form. If you saw them right close up you would see that they're not even
sparkei asked:
Do you have a pic of the finished project. I just love this and would love to see it all done.

Caraline asked:
a good way to use up scraps. might even give it a go. i imagine you could do very long strips, and piece then together then cut a square to the size require. Am I on the right track here???
Kaye Prince answered:
Not quite! If you click on the link below the picture (in orange with the little arrows) it will take you to my tutorial and you can see how it's done! :)
Susan57 asked:
~ Do you have instructions? I clicked on the link, that you mentioned, (with the arrows), but it only shows pictures of your projects. When I clicked (on that page) the picture of this quilt, this page came back up. Am I doing something wrong?
Kaye Prince answered:
Hi there, I think you're clicking on the wrong link. You need to click on the orange link where it says: What was your source for this quilting project? That will take you directly to the tutorial on my website.
