Patriotic Quilt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? This was probably my fourth quilt and the first quilt that had star blocks and different sorts of placements. I thought that it turned out nice and it allowed me to learn something new. Notice the Army embellishment. I found some fabric that had various military symbols (Hoffman perhaps), BTW; I quilted the Statue of Liberty so she would show up more. This quilt was made entirely on my 1950s Singer. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Cut and stitch as exact as possible so you won't have problems lining up the strips between the blocks.

What you will need

  • All Cotton fabric and thread.

NancySt asked:
Would you please share the name of this pattern?
claynjazz answered:
I used a pattern for a crib or small bed quilt for a child and adapted the patriotic fabrics to it. I think that the pattern was a Cloth Works design. You might be able to find it free online at the Cloth Works site. With the patriotic fabrics, it looks very different that the design with the original fabric line.
