Owl Baby Quilt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? Those swirls in the background! I've never done background free motion quilting without pre-marking the design. I was able to incorporate the teachings from several free motion quilting Craftsy instructors and completed this project using my home sewing machine. Thank you Ann Petersen, Cindy Needham, Leah Day, and Angela Walters! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Practice, practice, practice! I love Angela's approach to free motion quilting. She doesn't worry about every little stitch being the perfect length. She doesn't "stress" over every little wobble! And as Leah Day would say, if you rip out every imperfect seam when free motion quilting, the only thing you're going to be good at is using a seam ripper!
