New York Beauty

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I never thought I would be able to paper piece. I'm sure I could never have learned from a book. Peggy's videos make it so easy. I don't enjoy carefully cutting out lots and lots of small pieces of fabric, so this method is perfect for me. What advice would you give someone starting this project? If you haven't paper pieced before, try it. It's addictive!

What you will need

  • Batik fabrics
  • wool batting

I just finished my first self taught paper piecing project and when I saw your quilt I just KNEW it had to be paper piecing :) It IS addictive! I find myself hunting for patterns now and can't wait to begin the next one!!! Your quilt is beautiful and you should be very proud of it!
Teddymaker answered:
Thank you! Initially, it was going to be a cushion cover, but I found I couldn't stop making the blocks, so it has ended up as a wallhanging!
