Project

New York Beauty

What advice would you give someone starting this project? This is the beginning of a quilt I'm making for my grandson. The blocks will be in a wonky setting rather than something traditional. I'm happy with how they are turning out so far. Update 9/2/12 .. Note that I'm getting the quilt top put together. Do you see the row with the block pointing to the left? I didn't notice it until I took the picture. haha .. I'm going to have to do a bit of un-sewing there! Update 9/10/12 .. I quilted this with a free motion vine and loop design after I got that 1 block that was set backwards fixed. Now I'm trying to decide on the binding. Then this birthday gift can be mailed off!

Q&A with jobeard@onlinemac.com

Katfey asked:
What do you think of the class? I've been contemplating taking another course besides the BOM? Your block looks great!
jobeard@onlinemac.com answered:
I took the class for review because it had been about 6 years since I last made a New York beauty. It was good as a review and I'll definately watch the remaining lessons as I like some of the blocks shown.
