Project

New York Beauty

What are you most proud of? The colors came together well What advice would you give someone starting this project? The Crafty class was very interesting and I found paper piecing easy to follow and placement of the pieces were more accurate for me using this method of quilt making. I am fairly new to quilting. This was my first attempt at paper piecing and the fourth quilt I have made

Q&A with Nurse Lynn

Sharonrenee asked:
very well done, specially for as a new quilter.
Nurse Lynn answered:
Thank you so much
Scheri Manson asked:
I love this block it is so striking. Your fabrics look beautiful and I am sure she will cherish the quilt.
Nurse Lynn answered:
She opened it this week and said it was striking and could see the colors so it was worth all the sewing and undoing a few times to get it done :)
jean95552 asked:
how wonderful that you would do something so intricate for someone you evidently admire. I admire and respect you as a quilter for being so giving. A quilt is truly a treasure to the maker and hopefully those who receive our treasures
Nurse Lynn answered:
Thank you Jean, I appreciate your kind comments. I enjoyed making it knowing it was going to someone who would appreciate the work that went into it. She actually was a seamstress herself and was one of the many people who helped stitch the wedding gown for Queen Elizabeth II.
