My Ultimate Travel Bag

Here are some shots of my bag. I did not use mesh for inside pockets, mostly because I could not find it in a color that I liked. (I had also spent WAYYY too much on materials already!) I had a good time using fabrics from my stash for the inner pockets instead. For those I used double weight quilting cotton with interfacing in between and a scrap of denim that has slight stretch. The outer bag fabric and coordinating fabric (two navy prints) are canvas, and my lining (red print) is quilting cotton. I wanted canvas for durability. My only suggestion to anyone taking this class is that you WATCH the videos BEFORE BUYING MATERIALS, since there are little hints about materials scattered through the videos but NOT included in the instructions/materials list. Another FYI: The half-height inside pocket is the perfect size for an iPad mini! Would not recommend this class for a beginner sewist. Advanced beginner maybe.
