My son

Project Description

What are you most proud of? That I desided that the rust treated fabrics from last summercourse was perfect for his hair. And this time I was more daring in the choice of colors and values. I didn't allow myself to buy any fabrics for this project and I did solve it with fabrics from my stash. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Try it! It's really fun.

What you will need

  • Cotton fabrics from my stash
  • fabric I've rust treated
  • muslin for the foundation
  • polyester threads
  • monofilamentthread
  • steam-a-seam-lite2
  • thin batting in two layers. Iphonephoto of my son
  • photoshop elements
  • tracingpaper
  • Sharpie-marker and all the ordinary sewing equipment.

Q&A with BabsK

QuiltDude asked:
This is very cool. I think you did your son justice. It shows in the project this was a labor of love, and it is so awesome that your son was directly involved in the process of making this wonderful portrait. He can be just as proud as you. Congratulations. :-) :-) :-)
BabsK answered:
Thanks! he even took the color wheel to discuss the color selection. He has good sense of colors and is a drawing kid.
