My Hapi Garden Friendship Quilt

What are you most proud of? Redesigning the layout to make better use of the fabric and have a larger quilt. Successfully substituting some of the solid colors for a less overwhelmingly pink color palette. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Be careful sub cutting your strips and don't be afraid to veer away from the designated pattern instructions; just use your fabric wisely!

You Can Make This

wzrdreams made My Hapi Garden Friendship Quilt with:

  • Cotton Broadcloth (Hapi Garden by Amy Butler)
  • cotton poly batting
  • cotton broadcloth backing

Q&A with wzrdreams

wzrdreams asked:
This quilt was lovingly long-arm quilted with a pantograph called Feather Breeze by the kind and talented Linda Lovet.
wzrdreams answered:
Oops! Linda Lovett.
Scpaul681 asked:
I love the changes you made! I was originally off put by the amount of pink and was thinking of making some substitutions. I also love how you did rows instead of putting the blocks on point. The fabric is much too beautiful to cut so much off! I also wanted to mention that I linked through to your blog and was very touched by the story behind this quilt for you. What a thoughtful and beautiful gift to put your heart into for your friend. The loves radiates from that quilt!!
wzrdreams answered:
Thank you so much!
