my disaster piece

What are you most proud of? Although I regard this piece a disaster I have learnt a lot from the class. I am now ready to try again, and get it right. What advice would you give someone starting this project? LISTEN TO Carols coments and instructions. Decide on a design BEFORE starting the stitching. Have fun.

Q&A with oldie

SusanDuality asked:
I picked this out to examine closely because it is so successful. The ultramarine outline is perfectly proportioned, the parallell lines repeat organically, and the leaves are a spontaneous theme and variation. Colors are superb. Full of energy.
oldie answered:
Thank you Susan. This was my first "stitch and Slash effort. I rushed into it without a lot of thought. I enjoyed doing it. Later I did another orangy coloured "rectangles. I intend to do more."
RDrake asked:
I should have such disasters! It is beautiful!
oldie answered:
Thank you. It doesn't look "quite" as disastrous now its finished and a cushion cover.
