Q&A with Bluejay12345

Gail Kessler asked:
Love your mug rugs!! Would you mind posting the cut sizes for the center and borders?
Bluejay12345 answered:
Thank you very much. I made them as small Cristmas presents for a few friends of mine. As they live all over the world, it's a nice present and doesn't cost a lot when mailing them as they are very light." I used 1/4 inch seam allowance. The finished size is 9"x7.5". The center panel 6"x4.5" (so cut 6.5"x5"). For de borders: 2x 1.5"x4.5" (cut 2"x5") 2x 1.5"x9" (cut 2"x9.5") For de binding I cut 1 width (about 44") x 2.5". That's more than enough to bind the whole thing with one strip. The back is just a solid fabric, either the same as the center panel or the border, whatever I had the most of. I hope this helped. Best wishes, Caroline
grandmabl0 asked:
Beautiful mug rugs. Did you use leftover fabric from the midnight blues quilt?
Bluejay12345 answered:
No, just some bits and pieces I had lying around. When I visit a quiltshop I always get fabrics from the bargain baskets.
Judy Murphy asked:
